               How
              to Rebuild the Ministry
              September
              08, 2002

           Pastor
Nicky Joya asked: "What must we do to rebuild our
ministry?" The question was addressed to the church, amidst an
apparent need for its growth and revival.

           The
question was raised under an atmosphere of hope.  "I am
still clinging to the fact the God has something wonderful for this
church," Pastor Nicky said. "I hope that you join me in
           this belief."

           In
his message, Pastor Nicky recalled how one man, in the person of King
Asa, brought the whole nation of Judah in repentance before God (2
Chronicles 14-15). At a time of great turmoil, God used Asa to bring
life to the kingdom of Judah.  This became possible when Asa
believed in his God, when Asa believed in His power, and when Asa
           believed in God's people.

           Pastor
Nicky mentioned four major steps that every Church should take in
order to rebuild the ministry, in the same way that King Asa rebuilt
           Judah.

           A.
Let us honestly recognize the state of the ministry.

           1. Realization: Open your eyes to what is happening.

           2. Repentance: Realize that you have been part of the problem.

           3. Recommitment: God intends to make you part of His solution.

           B.
           Intensely desire reform.

           C.
Prayerfully list and then execute the necessary steps towards
           reformation.

           D.
           Trust God for the results.

           In
his conclusion, Pastor Nicky said that we "can't rebuild the
ministry unless we are really burdened and that burden causes us to
cry out to God in repentance and dependence and lead us to take
           faith-stretching steps."
