           A.
           Source of Truth

           John
           17:17
           "Sanctify
them by the truth; Your Word is truth."

           John
           8:31-32
           Jesus
said, "If you hold to my teaching, you are really my
disciples.  Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set
           you free."

           Sad
           thing is: 2 Timothy 3:7
           "...always
learning but never able to acknowledge the truth."

           B.
           Source of Happiness

           Psalm
           19:8
           "The
precepts of the Lord are right, giving joy to the heart."

           Luke
           11:28
           "Blessed
are those who hear the Word of God and obey it."

           C.
           Source of Victory

           1.
Victory over Satan and his demons
           Matthew
           4:1-11; Luke 4:33-36
           "It
is written: Man does not live on bread alone, but on every Word that
comes from the mouth of God."

           2.
           Victory over temptation
           Psalm
           119:11 / Ephesians 6:17

           "I have hidden Your
Word in my heart that I might not sin against you."

           Having
the Sword of the Spirit is not owning a Bible, but knowing the
specific principle in the Bible that applies to the specific point of
           temptation.

           3.
           Source of Growth

           I
           Peter 2:2-3
           "Like
newborn babies, crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow
up in your salvation, now that you have tasted that the Lord is
           good."

           There
are many Christians who don't grow spiritually because they don't
study the Word.  One's growth is directly proportionate to the
amount of time and effort one spends in the study of the Word of God.

           Source of Power

           Hebrews
           4:12
           "For
the Word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged
sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and
marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart."

           Romans
           1:16
           "I
am not ashamed of the Gospel, because it is the power of God for the
salvation of everyone who believes: first for the Jew, then for the
           Gentile."
