Follow Me
Moving on Towards
Spiritual Maturity

Preface

The day the Lord Jesus Christ ascended into heaven, He left His disciples a most urgent commission: "Make disciples" (Matt. 28:19). It was the procedure the Lord used to train His disciples; His strategy for winning souls; and the key to the quality growth of the early Church.

After 2000 years, the need to make disciples has never been more urgent than today.

What is disciple-making? The Apostle Paul describes his disciple-making procedure when he said, "Follow me as I follow Christ" (I Corinthians 11:1). Simply put, it means setting the pace for others to follow - our direction being Christ-likeness. The principles of the Bible, faithfully lived and taught by a Christian, becomes a powerful instrument of God in transforming other people's lives to the fullness of Spiritual maturity.

The purpose of this material is to guide the believer in a progressive study of the foundational teachings of the Bible. Although it can be used as a self-study guide, it is intended to be used in the context of disciple-making.

I assume that the one using this material to train others has been through a discipleship program himself, and is consistently applying Scriptures in his life.

Your diligent teaching and godly (not perfect) example will help make God's Word come alive to others and bring about Christ-likeness in them - for the glory of God.
